Integrated browser

Use the browser built into each conversation to preview your app, point the agent at page elements and share annotated screenshots.

Each conversation has its own Session browser. It shows the same page to you and to the agent, so you can check its work and show it exactly what to change.

Open the session browser

In the Environment panel on the right of the conversation, click Session browser. A green dot shows that it is open.
When the agent opens a web page, the browser appears on its own.

The browser opens beside the conversation. Click Full screen browser to give it the whole area, and Shrink browser to go back. The close button hides the browser pane.

Sessions belong to the conversation: another conversation has its own browser and its own tabs. Closing the last tab stops the browser.

Browse

The toolbar has:

Tabs, with New tab and Close tab. A marker shows the Tab currently used by the agent.
Back, Forward and Reload.
The address bar. Type an address and press Enter.
Open in system browser to open the current page in your usual browser.
Preview device, the gear for Browser settings, and the full screen button.

When the browser has the focus, you can use these shortcuts. Use ⌘ on macOS and Ctrl on Windows.

Check other screen sizes

Open Preview device and choose Full width or a device from the Desktop, Tablet or Mobile groups. Vato remembers your choice as the default device.

Show the agent what to change

The browser has tools to point at things on the page:

Tool	What it does
Cursor (normal interaction)	Click and type in the page as usual.
Select an element (context for the AI)	Click an element to add a Browser element card to your message. The agent receives its selector and the page address.
Annotation rectangle and Annotation text	Draw boxes and write notes on the page.
Send annotated capture to the AI	Attaches a screenshot of the page with your annotations to your message.
Clear annotations	Removes your boxes and notes.

Browser settings

Click the gear to open Browser settings:

Zoom, from 50% to 200%.
Appearance: System, Light or Dark.
Open clicked links: In Vato or External browser. Ctrl or Cmd + click always opens links outside Vato.
Profile for this conversation, Incognito and new profiles. Switching restarts this browser and closes its tabs. Profiles don't share logins with other conversations.
Import existing logins to reuse sessions from a browser installed on your computer. Passwords, passkeys and local storage are not imported, and some sites ask you to sign in again.
