Notifications
Get push notifications on your phone when an agent needs your answer, finishes its response or completes a scheduled check.
The Vato mobile app can notify you when the app is not in front. You choose which events are worth a notification, and you can manage every phone and computer registered to your account from one place.
Turn on notifications
- Open the Settings tab.
- Go to Push notifications and tap Add this phone.
- Allow notifications when your phone asks.
Your phone now appears in the list with this phone after its name.
If you see Notifications are disabled for Vato in system settings., open your phone's settings, allow notifications for Vato, then tap Add this phone again.
Choose what you are told about
Once the phone is added, a Notify me about section appears. Turn each category on or off:

These choices apply to this phone only. They cover activity from every computer linked to your account and from Vato Connect.
Open a notification
Tap a notification to go straight to what it is about:
- the conversation that finished or asked a question,
- the Bot group that replied,
- the approval waiting in your Team inbox.
Avoid duplicate alerts
Vato keeps notifications quiet when you are already looking:
- If the app is open on a conversation, you don't get a banner for that same conversation.
- When you read a conversation on another device, its notifications are removed from your phone.
Mute a single Bot
You can silence one Bot without changing your other settings:
- Open the Bots tab.
- Press and hold the Bot.
- Tap Mute notifications.
Tap Enable notifications in the same menu to turn them back on. You can also use the Notifications switch in the Bot's profile.
Manage your devices
The list under Push notifications shows every phone and computer registered for notifications on your account, with its platform and the date it was last registered.
- To stop notifications on this phone, tap Remove this phone.
- To remove another device, tap Remove next to it.
A removed phone stays removed. The app never adds it back on its own; tap Add this phone if you want notifications again.
