What is Vato?
A quick tour of the Vato desktop app, the mobile companion, the browser extension and how they fit together.
Vato is a desktop workspace for AI coding agents. You open a project, pick an agent such as Claude, Codex or Cursor, and work with it in one conversation view. Vato keeps your projects, conversations, terminals and Git changes together, so you can switch agents without switching tools.
The pieces of Vato

All of them use the same Vato account. Sign in with the same account everywhere and they find each other automatically.
How a typical day looks
- Open Vato Desktop on your computer and choose a project folder.
- Start a conversation with the agent of your choice and describe what you need.
- Review what the agent changed, approve or reject its requests, and commit.
- Leave your desk: the conversation keeps going, and you can follow it from the mobile app.
