# Personal integrations

> Connect your own app accounts once so your agents and Bots can read or act in them on every device.

Integrations let agents and Bots work with the apps you use: email, calendars, documents, project tools and more. You connect your own accounts, and you decide whether agents can only read or also make changes.

Your integrations belong to your Vato account. They are available on all your devices, and they are not shared with your teammates.

## Connect an app

1. Open **Settings → Integrations**.
2. Under **Add an app**, use **Search for an app** to find it, then click **Connect**.
3. Enter an **Account name**, for example "Personal Gmail". You see this name later, so make it clear.
4. Under **Agent access**, choose:
   - **Read only**: agents can view and search, without making changes.
   - **Read and write**: agents can view, create, edit and delete data.
5. Click **Continue**. Your web browser opens the app's sign-in page.
6. Sign in and review the permissions the app asks for.

Back in Vato, the account appears under **Connected accounts** on its own. If you closed the browser too early, click **Reopen connection**.

> **Agent access** limits what Vato lets agents do. The app may still ask for broader permissions on its side. Check both.

## Connect several accounts

You can connect several accounts of the same app, for example a personal and a work mailbox. Give each one its own name. When a task could use more than one account, the agent asks you which one to use.

## Let an agent ask for a connection

You don't have to connect everything in advance. When an agent needs an account you haven't connected, the conversation shows a **Waiting for connection** card:

- It shows the app and the access requested: read only, or read and write.
- Click **Connect account** to sign in. You can do it from any of your devices, including your phone.
- The task resumes on its own once the account is connected.
- Click **Continue without connecting** to refuse.

The request expires after 15 minutes. The computer running the agent must stay on until you finish.

## How agents use your accounts

- An agent always uses an account you chose explicitly. It never picks one silently.
- A **Read only** account can't be used to make changes.
- In **Plan** mode, agents can only read, even with a **Read and write** account.
- Bots use the same connected accounts as your agents.

## Manage your accounts

**Connected accounts** lists each account with its app, its access and its status:

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Connected** | The account is ready to use. |
| **Check connection** | The account needs attention. Connect it again. |

To remove an account, click the trash button next to it, then **Disconnect**. The account is no longer available to your agents and Bots on any device.

Click **Refresh** if the list looks out of date.
